Closing out the year and starting a new one!

Nothing really to big going on mostly the same ole day to day stuff but all of it I am thankful for.

Kids are doing great, the owners at Rylee's volleyball league have both taken a special interest in her and have been pushing really hard and she is progressing well. I love when she "gets" it and her face get so excited. Gaige is good loving all the time off from school and being home but its totally thrown him off his schedule. He has had a lot of one on one time with his Grandma which he loves she does little things to make him feel special and that means a lot to me. Rylee always get to go and do and he is at the age where he notices and he is starting to get his feeling hurt because he can't go so when my mom steps in it really helps.

We had our family pictures done, which I love for the most part put I am unhappy with the lady who did them and it cost double what I plan it to because of the photographer. But for the most part I like them and do plan to do more outside photo just with someone else.

Christmas was awesome this year!!!!!! We were able to spend the day with Steve's parent on Christmas eve and than the evening with my family at my Aunt's house. Lots of fun and family and it was a great day. We still had to wake Gaige up this year to tell him Santa came but once he was up he was ready to go. :) We spent the day at home along with my brother and sister (who spent over) and than mom and Jeff (her fiance) joined us for dinner that evening.

I've said a few times what a hard year 2012 was for us and every marriage has their ups and downs to and this year wasn't the best year for Steve and I. Knowing this we have really made it a point to put our marriage first and remember how important we are to each other. Finding that balance has been nice and has also included a few date nights. Steve took me to a restaurant I have said a million times I would like to try and it was everything I thought it would be. When you both work full time, have small children, the house, the day to day its so easy to put your spouse last but I have found that I am at my happiest when we are at our best. Marriage is a lot of hard work but it is always worth the fight!

For New Years we kept it quite at home as we always do trying to stay off the roads and away from the drunks. lol Rylee was with her friends so Steve, Gaige and I had pizza and played Mario all night. We all barely made it to midnight and were passed out by 12:15. lol Since Gaige is scared of fire works we had a full bed with him and Brodi all night.

I am so excited for a new year, new dreams, new paths and fresh starts!

This year will be a big year for us, we plan to settle into a new home on land, Gaige will start kindergarden, Rylee will become a teenager and Steve and I will celebrate our 12 year anniversary. :)
I also need to buy a new vehicle, when I can decide what I want but I'm so un decided right now. I don't do resolutions but the things I am going to work on this year are:

Having a stronger marriage
Growing in my faith for myself and as a family
Saving and being more budget friendly with our money

READY....SET.....GO.......
